Breaking News: Cali Lewis joins Revision3 with GeekBeat.TV

[Update] Cali has a new application for the iPhone and iPad. Click here

Cali Lewis has just announced some exciting news live at Revision3’s 5 year Anniversary party in San Francisco, CA. Cali has left Mevio to join the family at Revision3. Cali has also announced her new podcast show, GeekBeat.TV which will air Monday June 28th.

If you don’t know who Cali Lewis is, she is the cute and bubbly host of GeekBrief.TV. Cali has hosted GeekBrief.TV for the past 4 years out of Dallas, Texas with Mevio. Cali has asked that we all subscribe to her new show here to show our support. If you love technology then you have to check out her show. It is similar to CNET’s Loaded.

Cali will still shoot her podcast show from Dallas and not in San Francisco. GeekBeat.TV will be just like GeekBrief.TV and bring you technology news and more. Cali said she will keep the new show “consistent”. Cali says she could not come to a good business deal with Mevio. It sounds as if they did her wrong.

I personally think she is a great fit at Revision3 and made a wise choice. I will have her podcast set as a Season Pass on my TiVo. I wish her luck and much success. I’m single Cali. I’m just saying.

If you are not familiar with Revision3 then click here. Revision3 hosts shows like Diggnation, TekZilla, HAK5, AppJudgment, HD Nation, The Totally Rad Show and much more. Cali now joins popular hosts like Kevin Rose, Patrick Norton, Veronica Belmont and Alex Albrecht to name a few.

About Revision3

Revision3 is the leading television network for the internet generation. We create and produce all-original episodic community driven programs watched by a super-committed and passionate fan base. Our hyper-connected audience gets the vast majority of its entertainment, information and social connections through the internet.

The company was founded in 2005 by technology visionaries Kevin Rose, Jay Adelson, Dan Huard, Ron Gorodetzky, and David Prager, because they couldn’t find anything they wanted to watch on traditional television, and is now led by Internet TV pioneer Jim Louderback.

We develop, nurture and discover the shows that sit at the center of these new dynamic and rabid communities. Our hosts are experts not actors, with tremendous influence over their audiences. Our professionally produced HD shows run from under a minute to over an hour, and are watched anywhere, anytime, on any device and through any service – from handheld iPhones to notebooks and PCs, all the way up to home theaters and HDTVs. Our shows are viewed through our own website, along with more than 40 distribution partners including TiVo, iTunes and YouTube..

Revision3 has attracted a wide-range of top advertisers including Sony, Netflix, Dolby, Microsoft, IBM, HP, Southern Comfort, Virgin America, Verizon and FX Networks. Advertisers enjoy a unique bond with the audience via customized message integration and host mentions that deliver phenomenal results. Our clutter-free environment is perfect for everything from direct response to branding.

HTC Droid Incredible vs Apple iPhone 3GS

The new Droid Incredible by HTC went head to head with an Apple iPhone 3GS on CNET’s Prizefight. Watch the video in the link at the bottom of the post.

I am an Apple iPhone 3GS user and I love my phone! I have never had any issues and the speed is always unmatched. I have used many brands of cell phones since 1995 including LG, Sony, Samsung, Palm, Nokia and a few others. The iPhone’s call or phone quality is the best I have used by far. I used to have issues with call clarity, background noise, contacts not being able to hear me or I couldn’t hear them. I have had none of these issues with the iPhone.

FYI: The Palm Treo was the worst call clarity out of all of them. I was a Realtor and I could never hear anyone and they could not hear me even with a paid volume booster app. I will definitely upgrade to the next iPhone. I am always curious about Android phones and wouldn’t mind owning the Incredible as a secondary back-up phone.

On a recent episode of Diggnation, Kevin Rose said that he broke his iPhone and wasn’t a fan of AT&T service. Kevin decided recently to purchase an HTC Incredible and he gave the phone a review on air. He basically said he liked the Incredible but after owning an iPhone he misses the functions, features and quality of the iPhone.

Kevin mentioned that Android users hype up how much better their Androids are versus an iPhone. He said something like; if those Android users owned an iPhone first or tried out an iPhone they would think differently. I would have to agree. I witnessed a co-worker of mine using his Android and it crashed many times, buttons were breaking and it seemed to slow with age. The Incredible could be a great phone but Apple just makes a solid, quality device in my opinion.

Kevin also pointed out that the text editing and text zoom was better on the iPhone and missing on the Incredible. He seemed to feel the Incredible was a great quality phone but after be a previous owner of an iPhone he felt like he had downgraded.
