Bing officially launches in Japan



Bing has a reason to celebrate. Microsoft’s search engine is now officially launched in Japan. The “decision engine” is only a year old and already ranks third behind search engine giants, Google and Yahoo. With the launch in Japan, Bing is hoping to gain new users and take over the number two spot.

Bing version 1.2.1 is available in the App Store. The latest release is nothing major, just some bug fixes and improvements for those using  iOS 4.

Microsoft Bing now features playable search results for music, games and TV. There are 5 million songs to play and buy on Bing. You have the option to play a songs, view lyrics or buy the songs via Amazon, Zune or iTunes. Microsoft would prefer that you use Zune.
