I have a virus on my IPhone via my bump app!
My contacts that have been bumped to my phone are duplicating up to fifteen times and the numbers in my contacts are duplicating fifteen times or so. So in my attempts to get the virus off my phone I removed the bump app and deleted the numbers bumped. That didn’t work because the bump add on my contacts began appearing on contacts that I didn’t add to my phone via bump. Then all the contacts with the add began duplicating. So then I erased all my contacts after backing them up on my computer. And reset my phone erasing all contacts on my phone but after restoring my phone from my computer I began having the same problem all over again! Help me please!!
Thanks Mark,
This may be unrelated but I had this issue due to my contacts stored in my PC. I had contacts on many mail clients and address books. This will add duplicate, triplicate … contacts to your iPhone. Make sure your contacts on your computer are clean with no duplicates. Do not connect your iPhone yet. Open iTunes and click preferences. Click the iPhone tab. Check ‘disable auto-syncing on all iphones’. Connect your iPhone. Go to the info tab and scroll to the bottom. Check ‘contacts’ under ‘replace information on this phone’ and Sync.
Remember to un-check this box before your next sync or you will lose any contacts that you added to the phone manually
